About Me.

I’m Claire. I hold women’s circles in Worthing and nearby venues throughout West Sussex, UK.

I am an experienced facilitator, a longstanding feminist, and, in my other life, I am a public health advisor and researcher who has worked for nearly two decades supporting sexual and reproductive health programming for women and girls.  I am a passionate believer in the power of joy, heart-centred journeying, empathy, and community.

While I have spent most of my career tending to the evidence-based practices of health programs, the threads of Circle have been present all along the way. I have felt, across an array of contexts, what kindles when people – be they mothers, health workers,  young people, or vulnerable groups— connect to their deeper truth, when they are supported by their peers and community in speaking that truth, and the powerful good that can come for the larger collective in this process.

Though societies often are not structured to uphold and nourish the hearts and lives of women, there is a sort of “taproot” under women who gather to hold space with and for other women. This taproot is one of the collective, and it reaches deep. It is stabilizing and nourishing, even in poor or rocky soil. It’s a life force all its own.

I offer Circle gatherings in hopes that each of us might feel a sense of this, of something steadying, unassumingly sacred, and deeply feminine.
